PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION

Consultation for other mental health providers in Oregon and beyond

What it’s like to work with me

In our consultations, you’ll receive personalized support and resources.

I provide professional consultation for fellow mental health providers and other wellness providers. Since 2013, I’ve worked in the field of social work. In the past, I’ve worked with elders who were either blind or visually impaired, with students at a university counseling center, with teens and young adults experiencing first-episode psychosis, with adults dealing with the intersections of houselessness, drug use, and extreme or altered states, and with trans and nonbinary adults at an organization specifically focused on providing mental health services to trans and nonbinary community. Additionally, I provided clinical supervision for trans, nonbinary, and cis clinicians of color.

My professional consultation is rooted in the tenets of relational-cultural theory, social justice values, and honoring the perspectives and voices of those in the peer movement (prioritizing those who have been most harmed and most impacted by the mental health system at large).

I typically provide individual consultation; if you’re interested in having two or more people present for a consult, let me know in your inquiry, as group consult pricing varies. Reach out to therapywithrani@gmail.com if you’d like to learn more.

Pricing for professional one-on-one consultation is $125 for a 30-minute consultation and $195 for a 60-minute consultation. All consultations are done virtually.

Some of the areas I consult on include:

  • Ideas for engaging teens and young adults who are hesitant about therapy

  • Working with young people experiencing first-episode psychosis (also referred to as altered states or extreme states)

  • Working with young trans and nonbinary clients as a cis clinician

  • Integrating anti-racist values into clinical practice

  • How to prepare for leaving an agency job and starting private practice
