What would it feel like to stay informed without feeling overwhelmed?
Imagine being able to engage with the world, feeling centered and clear-headed. This is an invitation to our 5-week somatic grounding group, designed specifically for introspective, introverted BIPOC professionals who are ready to reclaim their inner peace.
The next group begins in January and is limited to just 5 professionals to ensure a powerful, intimate experience. Click here to schedule your screening and secure your spot!
You're not broken for feeling this way. In fact, it makes perfect sense.
You pride yourself on being informed and engaged. Your social media feeds are full of carefully curated content—news sources, activist accounts, and educational deep-dives. You tell yourself this is what being a responsible, aware person looks like in 2025.
But let’s be honest: your nervous system is screaming for a break.
You're a high achiever. You understand that your position at work comes with responsibility. But lately, that responsibility feels less like a badge of honor and more like a heavy weight that's suffocating you.
You scroll through story after story of what’s become everyday abuses of power, violence, and despair – and your body is forced to hold it all. Your shoulders carry the weight of every headline. Your chest tightens with each scroll. Your sleep is stolen by the replaying images you can't unsee.
You desperately want to take a break, to give yourself space to just… breathe. But that little voice in your head immediately jumps in, doesn't it?
“How can I possibly take a break when so many people are suffering?”
“Is wanting a news detox just a sign of my own privilege?”
“If I’m not constantly informed, am I failing to be responsible?”
What if those questions weren't the truth, but a trap?
What if you could finally learn to stay engaged with the world without feeling mentally and emotionally fried?
What if you could honor both your values AND log off at the end of the day, feeling a sense of peace and connection to your own life?
What if you could honor both your values AND log off at the end of the day, feeling a sense of peace and connection to your own life?
This is precisely why we created this somatic grounding group. It is a somatic and parts work therapy group designed specifically for introspective, self-aware BIPOC professionals who are ready to stop carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Now, let's be clear. This is not a traditional talk therapy group. This isn't a space for venting about every headline. This is something fundamentally different – an experience your nervous system has been desperately craving.
A weekly sanctuary for your nervous system
Once a week for 5 weeks, you'll join our 60-minute session—a space carved out just for you. In this small, intimate group (never more than 5 participants), I will guide you through somatic regulation exercises designed to help your body gently process and release the tension that builds from constant news consumption. Imagine leaving each session feeling lighter and more grounded, so you can actually be present and enjoy your evenings with the people you love.
here’s what you’ll experience in our 5 weeks together
Befriend the parts of you seeking balance
We'll gently work with the part of you that feels overwhelmed by the news, the part that craves a mental break, and the wise part of you that already knows how to invite calm back into your body. This isn't about fighting your feelings; it's about honoring all of these parts to find a new, sustainable balance. The goal is to carry this newfound sense of calm with you everywhere you go—into your job, your family, and your friendships.
The power of connection without pressure
This group embraces the profound beauty of being together while doing your own inner work. Think of it as the therapy equivalent of 'parallel play'—you'll be in community with other professionals who just get it, sharing a powerful experience without the pressure to constantly talk or perform. There's a deep, unspoken healing in knowing you're not alone, even as you focus on your own internal experience.
A note from your guide
Rani Gupta, LCSW
Hey there, I'm Rani.
If you're reading this, I imagine we have something important in common: a deep desire to stay engaged with the world, coupled with the exhaustion that comes from carrying its weight.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I've had the honor of sitting with incredible, insightful BIPOC professionals just like you. I’ve seen firsthand how the responsibility to stay aware can begin to feel less like a value and more like a heavy burden.
This is why my work is deeply rooted in somatic parts work and embodiment strategies. This isn't just about talking; it's about providing your body with a new language to process and release the tension it’s been holding.
But my approach isn't just clinical. My formal training is balanced and enriched by the deep wisdom of the thinkers, writers, and artists who have shaped my understanding of the world—brilliant minds like Octavia Butler, Zoé Samudzi, and Tanaïs. Their work informs how I’ve crafted this group, ensuring it's not only a safe space, but one of true cultural resonance and understanding.
It would be an honor to hold this space for you as you reconnect with your own sense of inner calm.
This space was created for you if…
You're an introspective, introverted BIPOC professional who has been feeling the weight of the world. You long for a community of people who get it, where you can connect deeply without having to say much at all.
You're ready to carve out this time for yourself. Committing to these 5 weekly sessions feels less like an obligation and more like a gift to your own well-being.
The idea of guided somatic exercises and meditations feels deeply nourishing to you. You find comfort in shared silence and the space to go inward without pressure.
This group isn’t the right fit if…
You're seeking a traditional talk-therapy group where verbal processing and open discussion are the primary focus. (This space is centered on internal, somatic experience).
You are in a period of acute crisis and need immediate or additional support between sessions. (Your safety is paramount, and this group is not equipped to provide that essential level of care).
You're unable to commit to the full 5-week journey. (The power of this container comes from consistent, shared presence, and we honor the commitment of every member).
